In connection with the information circulated in a number of mass media regarding the comment of U. Kasimkhodjaev, Director of the Agency for Attracting Foreign Investments under the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, we report the following:

The expanded system of preferences of the EU "GSP +", first of all, is focused on creating favorable conditions for increasing the export supplies of domestic entrepreneurs to the markets of the EU countries. U. Kasimkhodjaev, who recently started working in the system of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade, commenting on the question of the RIA Novosti publication journalist, was not fully aware of the practical aspects and mechanisms for applying the benefits and preferences of the GSP + system. He does not have sufficient competence in this area, which is not part of his area of ​​​​responsibility, and is not authorized to make statements on this topic.

In this regard, we declare that U. Kasymkhodjaev’s comment is not the official position of the Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade on this issue.
