On March 4 this year, Deputy Minister Oybek Khamrayev met with Deputy General Manager of China Construction Xiang Shanmou at the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

For reference: CSCEC, established in 1982, is the world's largest group of investment and construction corporations directly subordinate to the Government of the People's Republic of China. In 2021, the total amount of CSCEC contracts reached 450.5 BN USD. The company ranks 13th in the list of the 500 largest companies in the world according to Fortune magazine for 2021.

During the meeting, prospects for the Chinese company's participation in the implementation of projects in Uzbekistan in the field of urban and transport infrastructure construction were discussed.

The Chinese side expressed interest in participating in the joint implementation of projects in the mentioned areas with the introduction of innovative developments and best practices. In turn, the Uzbek side expressed readiness to support investment initiatives and further activities of the Chinese company in our country.

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue cooperation within the framework of joint projects.
