On June 27 this year, Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Ahmed Farooq, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Prospects for the development of bilateral relations and issues of further enhancing mutual cooperation were considered during the negotiations. In particular, the positive dynamics of bilateral trade between the two countries observed in recent years was noted.

Separately, prospects for partnership in transport and logistics were considered. An increase of freight traffic by almost 5 times in recent years was noted. An agreement was reached on mutual measures to make full use of the existing potential in terms of transport infrastructure development.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed on the format of further interaction for practical implementation of planned and new joint projects and confirmed their mutual aspiration to deepen trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
