A webinar was held with the Japanese Organization for the Development of Foreign Trade
Within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Japanese Organization for the Development of Foreign Trade (JETRO), a regular webinar was held for representatives of small and medium-sized businesses in Japan.
The event was attended by more than 50 representatives of Japanese organizations, enterprises and companies that are members of JETRO.
The webinar was organized in order to widely highlight the favorable conditions created in the country for doing business and key factors of investment attractiveness of industries and regions.
Within the framework of the webinar, successful cases implemented in Bukhara and Navoi regions, in particular in the Navoi FEZ, were considered in detail.
Presentations are presented that reveal the advantages of doing business and the prerequisites for the implementation of investment projects in these regions, the tax preferences provided and other opportunities created for potential Japanese investors.
From the Japanese side, the presentation was made by the head of the JETRO representative office in Uzbekistan, D. tAkahashi, who elaborated on the peculiarities of the Uzbek market from the point of view of Japanese business, and measures to support Japanese business when investing in Uzbekistan.
Following the results of the webinar, an agreement was reached to organize a visit to Uzbekistan by a delegation from among the heads of Japanese organizations and companies headed by representatives of JETRO for a detailed discussion of the prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation and specific investment projects.
For reference: On May 20 and June 29, 2021, similar webinars were held jointly with JETRO, dedicated to the wide familiarization of the Japanese business community with the investment climate of Uzbekistan on the example of individual enterprises in the Tashkent and Samarkand regions.
