Mechanisms to Improve Business Environment for the Enterprises in Tashkent
On March 17 this year, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade held a videoconference to discuss actuation of operation of Tashkent industrial enterprises, improvement of their business activity and measures for their comprehensive support.
The conference provided formation of working groups headed by deputy ministers of investment and foreign trade and including the heads of commercial banks, khokims of the districts of Tashkent, and the State Assets Management Agency, who will be assigned to each district of the capital to analyze more than 1000 enterprises within a week and develop targeted measures to improve their performance.
There will be a comprehensive analysis of current operation of government-sponsored enterprises aimed at development of measures for its systemic optimization through the revision of business processes. Here, the participants considered possible attraction of designated foreign companies to transfer them the data of enterprises for management ensuring the achievement of specific targets for the given period.
The participants paid a particular attention to private enterprises. They will identify existing problems, the need for additional financing, and opportunities to expand production. They will also elaborate the prospects for new investment projects based on the existing industrial potential of Tashkent districts.
Every reviewed enterprise will be included in a certain action plan to find new reserves for production expanding, increase localization of output through modernization, increase of export potential and generation of employment.
The work with entrepreneurs will include field trips and direct meetings, which will enable deep study of actual situation and identification of pressing concerns that hold the development of investment and export potential of each individual enterprise.
