MIFT involved Dubai Future Foundation to develop the Project Factory
On June 22 this year, there was a video conference involving Deputy Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Sh. Vafayev, Director of the Center for Development of Investment Projects under the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Kh. Teshabayev, Assistant Director-General for Leadership and Government Capabilities of the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs and the Future of the UAE Yasir Al Naqbi and Director General of Dubai Future Foundation (UAE) Khalfan Belhoul.
During the video-conference, the Emirate side provided information on the operation and opportunities of the Dubai Future Foundation in the development and implementation of innovative and demanded investment projects, as well as shared the experience in making business incubators.
The negotiations resulted in agreement on the establishment of direct cooperation between the Center and the Dubai Future Foundation, organization of a training program to increase the potential of the Center and effectiveness of the Project Factory operating at the Center, whose main objective is to develop new major investment projects.
For reference: Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) was established by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE in 2016. DFF is a key player in planning and shaping of the future in UAE. DFF strives to make Dubai the leading city of the future. DFF promotes Dubai's position as a global destination for the best intellectuals and many promising innovators. It also supports startups and searches for innovative projects around the world.
Currently, DFF collaborates with the Ministry for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan within the project 'One million of programmers', which is a free distance learning for a wide population through a specialized online portal. Agreements on the implementation of a large-scale project were reached during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the United Arab Emirates in March 2019.
