Negotiations on the key priorities of the work of Diplomatic Representatives of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad

The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade hosted an extended meeting with the heads of the diplomatic missions of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad. It reviewed their activities at the end of 2020, as well as key priorities for work in 2021. The heads of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, corresponding complex of the Cabinet of Ministers, which includes the system of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the top officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade attended.

There was a comprehensive assessment of the work of each diplomat focused on the measures taken and results achieved in the investment and foreign trade.

The attendees noted the priority of the economic component in the development of medium- and long-term strategies for relations with partner countries. In view of this, the heads of the diplomatic missions received certain tasks to develop new tools to raise foreign investment and provide effective support to domestic exporters, as well as ensure effective protection of their rights and interests.

Separately, the consideration touched upon the progress in preparation for the large-scale international events scheduled for this year. There were instructions to take all necessary measures to have world-class arrangements.­

The meeting resulted in targeted instructions to for the heads of diplomatic missions to step up work in specific areas in order to perform the assigned tasks in a quality and timely manner.
