Negotiations with the Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea
The Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade held negotiations with Deputy Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy of the Republic of Korea Park Ji Young through video conferencing.
The parties discussed joint measures to mitigate the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic and global crisis on economic sectors of both countries, as well as the current state of the agreements reached during top-level events.
During negotiations the participants also discussed the ways to organize close cooperation in order to minimize the risks of delays in the large joint investment projects in healthcare and pharmacy services, education, and the development of the ICT sector.
The members also raised issues relating to the creation of preferential conditions for the entry of national manufacturers to the markets of the two countries and the assistance from the Korean side in Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO.
Following the negotiations, in order to discuss further steps to speed up the implementation of joint projects and activities with the Republic of Korea, it was agreed to organize further consultations through regular video conferencing.
