Negotiations with Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On 31 March 2020, video conference negotiations were held with the Vice Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan K. Torebaev.

Parties discussed the current conditions and future development of trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. They also talked in detail about joint measures to reduce the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic on trade volumes of the two countries. It was said that it is important to continue close coordination and interaction at the level of two ministries.

In order to reduce the transit time of goods through the border posts of the two countries, parties agreed a mechanism for an effective, direct exchange of data on freight vehicles moving across the territories of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to further develop additional measures aimed at strengthening and expanding bilateral economic and trade cooperation.
