The first meeting of the Governing Council for the accelerated implementation of the construction project and commissioning of the international all-season resort 'Beldersay-Chimgan-Nanai'
On October 6 this year, Deputy Prime Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan S. Umurzakov and A. Abdukhakimov co-chaired the first meeting of the Governing Council for the accelerated implementation of the construction project and the commissioning of the international all-season resort 'Beldersay-Chimgan-Nanai' in Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region.
The meeting considered the priority tasks for the accelerated implementation of the project, including the a number of issues related to the financing of the project, the completion of the feasibility study of the project according to the master plan developed by the consortium of French companies, such as Geode, Manie Lives, Egis, Patriarche, Epode supported by the French Foundation for Research and Assistance to the Private Sector (FASEP), the establishment of the project office, as well as the launch of organizational work related to the projects for the development of local engineering and communication infrastructure.
Executive officers and diplomatic missions of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad, as well as regional khokimiyats received instructions to start systematic work to attract local and foreign investors to projects in the resort, including by organizing advertising campaigns and road shows in foreign business circles.
The goal of the project is to develop and increase the investment potential of the tourism industry in Uzbekistan. The project provides the attraction of investments amounted to USD 500 million, including through foreign direct investment, as well as French financial institutions aimed at the development of tourism, road transport and communal infrastructure.
For reference: The Governing Council for the accelerated implementation of the construction project and commissioning of the international all-season resort "Beldersay-Chimgan-Nanai" was created according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 559 on Additional Measures to Develop Tourist Infrastructure in Mountainous Areas. The Council's main goals are to coordinate the operation of government bodies, local executive authorities and business associations for the construction and organization of the effective operation of the resort, as well as provide practical assistance in the implementation of investment projects and systematic monitoring of their progress on its territory.
