The Ministry of Investments and Foreign Trade discussed on actuation of exhibition activities
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade S.Umurzakov headed a video conference focused on discussion of measures to enhance exhibition activities.
The meeting involved the heads of relevant ministries, departments, Khokimiyat of Tashkent city, as well as representatives of the Institute of Art Studies under the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Russian Federation.
The participants noted that international exhibitions are one of the most effective tools to strengthen investment, trade and economic relations with foreign partners, to promote domestic products to promising foreign markets, as well as ones contributing to an active cultural and historical exchange between countries.
Here, the participants discussed the organization of exhibition of national products 'Made in Uzbekistan', as well as unique museum exhibits and collections, exhibitions of contemporary art and crafts at Uzbekistan's national exhibition center in All-Russia Exhibition Center (VDNKh) in Moscow (Russian Federation).
They considered the information provided by executive officers on progress in preparation for the events, as well as disclosed certain proposals and measures to accelerate the solution of practical arrangements related to the construction works, sending of museum items and collections, contemporary art, and craft items, as well as other preparation for other events during the expected ceremony of opening of the Center and the exhibition.
The participants emphasized the need to strengthen the generation of a preliminary package of real investment projects and trade contracts for their signing with Russian partners as part of the planned activities. The Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade will coordinate this issue to synchronize the activities of ministries, departments, local authorities as well as the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Russian Federation.
For reference: On May 30, 2019, the Governments of Russia and Uzbekistan signed an Agreement on the Creation of the Exhibition Center 'Exhibition and Cultural Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan' in pavilion No. 66 inside the All-Russian Exhibition Center (VDNKh) in Moscow providing transfer of the pavilion and the historically associated land plot to the Uzbek side for 49 years of rent. Currently, there are repair and restoration works in the pavilion.
