The Republican Commission for Export Potential Development started its work in Fergana region
On March 24 this year, the Republican Commission for Export Potential Development in regions and industries arrived in Fergana region. Members of the Commission, as well as heads of ministries, departments, commercial banks and local authorities visit enterprises in the cities and districts of the region and review their operation under current global economic situation while developing emergency support measures.
A direct conversation with entrepreneurs and exporters provides a deep review of projects’ specifics, identification of existing problems and familiarization of business representatives with government support aimed at reduction of economic consequences of coronavirus pandemic and its impact on investment and foreign economic activity in Uzbekistan.
A fact-based analysis of resources and infrastructure on site provides a basis for target support algorithm for each enterprise, which includes financial incentive measures, assistance in finding new customers and alternative routes for cargo traffic, creation of necessary conditions to increase production and exports.
The members paid a particular attention to the search for additional reserves to increase industrial output and export through the use of vacant land plots, financial stimulation by attracting the resources of commercial banks and international financial institutions, and the wide involvement of the local population in business operations.
Each reviewed enterprise is assigned to managers and employees responsible for the implementation of the developed support measures and further monitoring of the business entity to promptly respond to new requests and solve problems.
The Commission continues its work in Fergana region.
