The XVI Verona Eurasian Economic Forum is up and running in Samarkand
On November 3, the XVI Verona Eurasian Economic Forum began its work in Samarkand, focused on expanding and strengthening ties between representatives of the business community, creating conditions for discussing existing issues and identifying growth points for the implementation of joint investment initiatives.
The Forum is attended by heads of ministries and departments, industry associations, financial institutions, business associations, as well as heads of over 450 companies from Uzbekistan, Europe and Asia.
At the opening ceremony, the importance of the event for the development of trade, economic, investment and cultural cooperation was noted along with the significance of the event in ancient Samarkand, which has served as a trade and economic center between the countries of Europe and Asia since ancient times. Heads of states expressed readiness for further development of economic relations for the benefit of all countries of the region.
Within the framework of the two-day forum, thematic discussions on international economic relations, trade, investment and industrial cooperation, energy and ecology will be held.
The participation of top officials of large companies, governments and public figures, experts, diplomats, representatives of various international and regional organizations as speakers of the prestigious forum will allow to determine the current positions of the parties on the most priority issues and topics, as well as identify new growth points of multilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation in the long term.
