On April 19 of this year, the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade and the Chamber of Commerce organized the Uzbek-Korean Business Forum involving the business entities of the two countries, representatives of sectoral departments, scientific and technical institutes and business associations under the formal visit of the President of the Republic of Korea Moon Jae-In to Uzbekistan. Over 350 representatives of more than 150 companies from the Republic of Korea, as well as their counter-partners from Uzbek companies attended the Forum.

The Forum resulted in arrangements and signed agreements on 29 projects worth about $ 12 billion providing participation of Korea in such areas as geology, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering, construction materials, light industry, chemical and petrochemical industries, civil engineering, tourism infrastructure, banking and financial sector
