Uzbekistan and Czech Republic are ready to develop multifaceted cooperation

On June 23 this year, Oybek Khamraev, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade, met with Vaclav Yilek, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Uzbekistan. The focus was on topical issues of bilateral cooperation and the organization of major joint events.

In particular, the positive dynamics of economic cooperation was noted. Thus, in recent years, there has been an increase in the volume of mutual trade and the number of joint ventures. Mutual readiness was expressed to stimulate the expansion of investment cooperation and industrial cooperation.

During the meeting, organizational and substantive issues of the upcoming 9th meeting of the joint Uzbek-Czech Intergovernmental Commission (IC) on economic, industrial, scientific and technical cooperation, which will be held in July in Tashkent with the participation of Josef Sickel, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, were considered.

"We will provide support to realize the full potential of bilateral cooperation," Vaclav Yilek said.

Following the meetings, the parties confirmed mutual commitment to deepening trade, economic and investment cooperation and determined the format of further interaction within the framework of the implementation of the discussed projects and initiatives.
