Emirati DP World is to increase the efficiency of Navoi FEZ

On February 6 this year, a videoconference was held between the leadership of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Emirati company DP World to discuss the practical implementation of a project for improving the efficiency of the Navoi free Economic Zone, reflected in the Agreement on the Management of the Navoi Free Economic Zone dated November 25, 2022.

The representatives of the Ministry, local authorities of the Navoi region, the DP World and the Directorate of the Navoi Free Economic Zone participated in the call.

In particular, plans for improving the efficiency and development of the FEZ were analyzed and further steps for the implementation of this project were agreed, which envisages the attraction of international companies as residents to the Navoi FEZ, including leading manufacturing enterprises of the Jebel Ali Free Zone located in the UAE.
