The issues of interaction with the Eurasian Economic Commission were considered
On July 12 this year, Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov received a delegation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) headed by Chairman of the EEC Board Mikhail Myasnikovich.
During the meeting, issues of interaction between Uzbekistan and the EAEU in the status of an observer state were discussed. The sides expressed mutual commitment to the principles of mutually beneficial economic cooperation, equality and consideration of national interests, as well as the implementation of joint measures to create additional opportunities for Uzbekistan to work more closely with the EAEU countries in the investment, trade, economic, transport and logistics areas.
Following the discussion, the parties signed a list of additional areas of cooperation to the current Plan of joint activities of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the EEC for 2021-2023, which includes measures for the interaction of relevant ministries and agencies of the country with relevant divisions of the EEC in such areas as trade, industry, customs and tax administration, technical regulation, sanitary and phytosanitary standards, energy, pharmaceuticals, labor migration and other areas.
